Verkündigungs-St. Justin-Monastery

The monastery features a church built in solid wood construction with 34-centimeter-thick walls and covers an area of 258 square meters.

The monastery complex originated from a former mill property acquired in 2010 and was established as a daughter foundation of the Skete of Saint Spyridon.

The monastery church design draws inspiration from the 13th-century Gradac Monastery in Serbia, incorporating traditional architectural elements and religious symbolism.

The monastery includes living quarters above the narthex, basement rooms for dining and gatherings, and a 16-meter high church oriented with its apse facing east.

The monastery currently functions as a hermitage, maintained by a single monk, Hieromonk Justin Rauer, who oversees the religious and administrative duties.
