Stephansbrücke 15, Historical building site in Altstadt, Germany
Stephansbrücke 15 was a two-story building with nine bays constructed in the 18th century. It featured three dormer windows with decorative bat-wing shaped elements and stood as a notable structure in Magdeburg's old town.
The property changed ownership several times, with records documenting it was held by the widow of Mag. Johannes Blocius in 1631. That same year brought complete destruction to Magdeburg during a major conflict in the region.
The building reflected the architectural style common to properties along the eastern side of Stephansbrücke. It embodied the local construction traditions of Magdeburg's old town with its characteristic features.
The site today forms part of a public park and is freely accessible to visitors. The location is easily reached on foot and well integrated into the old town layout.
After complete destruction in World War II, the plot was transformed into green space. Today nothing remains of the original structure, reflecting the massive changes the city underwent after the war.
