Schlosskirche Hochberg is the Protestant church of Hochberg, built in 1854 to a design by the Ludwigsburg building office and counted, alongside the Berger Kirche in Stuttgart, as the earliest neo-Gothic church in the Kingdom of Württemberg. Its rectangular hall measures 20.7 by 13.25 metres, with a choir and sacristy facing north-west and a main portal beneath the roughly 30-metre tower on the east front.

A chapel stood here before the present church; its age is unknown, but two altars dedicated to Saint Barbara and Saint Nicholas suggest a relatively recent structure. In 1554 the local lord Hans Dietrich Nothaft introduced the Reformation in Hochberg. French troops plundered the chapel during the Orléans War and stole its bells; after 1697 Uriel von Gemmingen and his wife Esther had it restored and donated new bells. The growing village made the chapel too small, so Karl von Hügel gave part of the castle courtyard for a new church, begun in 1852 and consecrated on 13 August 1854.

The church is named after nearby Hochberg Castle, whose owner Karl von Hügel gave part of the castle courtyard for the new building in exchange for the old chapel's site. The silver-gilt communion cup is said in local tradition to have been donated by the three daughters of Wolf Jacob Nothaft, though research suggests it dates from the 16th century.

The church stands near Hochberg Castle, and its main portal lies beneath the roughly 30-metre tower on the east front. The choir and sacristy face north-west, so the entrance side is opposite the castle approach. The interior was renovated after a 1989 fire, and the exterior was renovated in 2002.

The silver-gilt communion chalice is said in local tradition to have been donated by the three daughters of Wolf Jacob Nothaft in the early 17th century, but examinations suggest it dates from the 16th century and was probably given by Wilhelm Adelmann von Adelmannsfelden and his wife Kunigunde von Hirnheim, mentioned in 1497.
