Wickesberger Bachtal und Seitenbäche

Wickesberger Bachtal and its tributary streams form a wooded valley with flowing water, wet grasslands, and varying topography throughout the protected area. The landscape shifts between open meadows and dense forest sections that shape the character of the terrain.

The area received protection in 2006 to preserve the natural valley from further alteration. A management plan was implemented in 2013 to establish guidelines for ongoing care and habitat development.

The valley serves as a recreation area for local residents, where one can experience the land in its natural state away from built-up surroundings.

Wear sturdy footwear since wet meadows and damp paths can be slippery, especially after rain. The warmer months are best for visiting when conditions underfoot are more stable and easier to navigate.
