Bismarck monument, Historic monument in Heppens district, Wilhelmshaven, Germany

The life-size statue presents Otto von Bismarck wearing a long coat and holding a saber in an outdoor public setting.

The original monument from 1905 by Georg Meyer-Steglitz was lost during World War II, leading to a new statue creation in 2015.

The statue represents the first German Chancellor Otto von Bismarck through a modern interpretation by Russian-born artist Sergej Musat.

The monument stands in an accessible location within the Heppens neighborhood, allowing visitors to observe the detailed craftsmanship.

Local citizens funded the 45,000 Euro monument through donations collected by organ grinder August Desenz and his foundation.
