Neustädtlein, Residential settlement in Fichtenau, Germany
Neustädtlein is a residential settlement in Fichtenau located on a ridge between the Zwergwörnitz and Rotach rivers. The roughly 50 homes spread across the area and make use of this elevated position to overlook the surrounding valleys.
The settlement was first recorded in 1386 under the name Niwenstat and later came under the control of the Teutonic Order. It subsequently became part of the Wildenstein territory and shaped regional development over centuries.

The settlement is easily accessible near the Dinkelsbühl/Fichtenau exit of the A7 motorway and sits close to commercial areas. The elevated location offers good views in all directions, though walking around requires navigating some slopes.
The easternmost houses stand just 20 meters from the Bavarian state border, making this a true frontier settlement. This geographic position offers visitors a direct sense of standing at the boundary between two German states.
