Hexenstein, Glacial erratic in Neerstedt, Germany

The Hexenstein consists of large stone blocks transported by glacial ice during the last Ice Age, now resting in Lower Saxony's countryside.

Archaeological excavations at the Hexenstein revealed prehistoric cup marks and evidence of ancient burial practices dating back to the Neolithic period.

The stone formation serves as an educational site where visitors learn about megalithic structures and early human settlements in Northern Germany.

Located at coordinates 52° 59′ 12.06″ N, 8° 22′ 56.73″ E, the monument is accessible through marked paths in the Oldenburg district.

The stone formation contains geological markers that indicate its journey from Scandinavia during glacial movements thousands of years ago.
