The Section Wall at Kröver Burgberg is an ancient fortification with a double wall system and forward trenches. The structure spans a considerable area with multiple wall phases showing different building periods from antiquity.

The fortification was built in the Early La Tene period and was rebuilt or reinforced at least twice. Different wall techniques, including dry stone construction and post-slot walls, show distinct building phases across the centuries.

This fortification shows how ancient people protected their settlements and what building techniques they used for defense. You can still see today in the stone walls how much work went into their construction.

The wall lies about 1.5 km northwest of Kövenig on the northeast-facing ridge of the Burgberg. The gate of the enclosure could not be located, so there is no known entrance to follow. The interior was estimated at 170 m long and 60 m wide.

The site was first recorded in 1913 in a questionnaire for the archaeological map of the Trier administrative district. A gravel pit threatened one wall in 1974, but the Landesmuseum Trier stopped the extraction; a looter's cut in 1979 led to full excavation. The entrance gate has never been located.
