Aburi Botanical Gardens

Aburi Botanical Gardens is a garden in the Akwapim hills where visitors can explore timber trees, crop plants, and medicinal herbs spread across rolling slopes. The grounds feature different sections connected by paths that wind through the landscape at varying elevations.

The gardens were established in 1890 to collect and study plants from various regions. A gardener from England with experience at major botanical institutions was brought in to build the collections and develop the site.
