Aburi Botanical Gardens, Botanical garden in Aburi, Ghana.

The garden extends over 64.8 hectares of land in the Akwapim hills, featuring collections of timber trees, agricultural plants, and medicinal specimens.

The gardens opened in March 1890 under Governor William Brandford-Griffith, with William Crowther from Royal Botanic Gardens Kew appointed as first curator.

The garden maintains traditional medicinal plants and serves as an educational center for local communities to learn about Ghana's botanical heritage.

Located 39 kilometers northeast of Accra at an altitude between 370 and 460 meters, the garden charges an entrance fee of 10 GHC.

A 270-meter palm-lined avenue leads visitors through the entrance, where they encounter a British army helicopter among the botanical collections.
