Legon Botanical Gardens

Legon Botanical Gardens is a green space located near the University of Ghana, featuring native plants and winding paths for exploration. The grounds offer areas for walking, relaxation, and various outdoor activities throughout the property.

The gardens were established alongside the development of the University of Ghana campus and served as a learning resource from the start. Since then, they have remained an important part of the university's infrastructure for studying nature.

The gardens serve as a gathering place where locals experience community events and environmental education programs. Many visitors come here to spend time surrounded by nature and connect with conservation efforts.

The gardens are accessible via Haatso-Atomic Road and are open until 17:00 on weekdays and 18:00 on weekends. Before your visit, check the weather and wear comfortable shoes, as there is plenty to explore on foot.

The site features an elevated canopy walkway that takes visitors high above the ground to view tree canopies up close. Alongside this, there are several rope courses with different challenges for adventurous guests.
