Cedi House

Cedi House is a 14-story office building located on Independence Avenue in central Accra, featuring extensive glass windows across its facade. The structure includes two basement levels and accommodates several departments of the Bank of Ghana along with the Ghana Stock Exchange.

The building was designed by Ghanaian architect Professor John Owusu Addo and completed in 1973, beginning construction in 1970. Its completion marked a significant moment in Accra's growth as a modern financial center during the 1970s.

The building takes its name from Ghana's currency and houses key financial institutions that serve the nation's economy. Inside, people work daily in spaces that reflect the country's role in regional finance and commerce.

The building is located on a main thoroughfare in the city center surrounded by other office buildings and commercial spaces. Keep in mind that this is an active workplace with restricted public access to interior areas.
