Peristeri Stadium

Peristeri Stadium is a multi-purpose sports facility in the municipality of the same name on the eastern side of Athens. The arena features four stands with blue plastic seating, an oval athletics track, and modern floodlighting systems positioned around the grounds.

The facility was first built in 1947 and received a larger main stand in 1970. It took on its distinctive horseshoe shape during the late 1970s.

The stadium serves as the home ground for local football club Atromitos and draws supporters from across the city. Match days here are woven into the community's social life and create a sense of belonging among visitors.

The closest metro station is Agios Antonios, which offers a direct connection to the stadium. Alternatively, bus route 821 operates from central Athens and provides access to the venue.

The stadium experienced one of its highest attendances in 1981 when thousands of fans packed the stands for an intense match against a major rival. That event shaped the venue's history and remains memorable for longtime supporters.
