The Stavros Mavrothalassitis Stadium is a sports venue in Egaleo featuring a natural grass field with seating sections distributed around the playing area. The stadium can hold approximately 8,000 spectators across its various stands.

The stadium was founded in 1963 under mayor Stavros Mavrothalassitis and inaugurated on 4 February 1968, before Egaleo's 1-0 win over PAOK in front of 10,000 spectators. A dirt pitch was replaced by natural grass in 1980. The September 1999 earthquake damaged the Thivon Avenue stand; repairs finished partly in late 2002. Full reconstruction, funded by OPAP, ran from 2005 to 2007, and the stadium took the mayor's name in 1988.

The stadium's record attendance is 18,100, set at an Orfeas Egaleo–Kalamata (0-0) Second Division match in the 1971-72 season. A 0-0 draw between Egaleo and Olympiacos on 4 March 1973 drew 17,917. In the 1980s the ground also hosted wrestling bouts and music concerts.

You can reach the stadium using bus lines A16, C16, A17, and B17, which serve the area regularly. By car, take Iera Odos street and turn onto Thivon Street to access the venue.

The stadium's capacity was significantly reduced after the earthquake, with safety requirements taking priority during the reconstruction process. This change reflects how the venue was rebuilt with more stringent modern standards.
