Filotas is a former municipality in Florina Prefecture, located in the West Macedonia region and covering residential areas alongside agricultural land. The administrative unit has been part of Amyntaio municipality since 2011 and serves thousands of residents throughout the area.
The settlement was renamed from Tsaltzilar to Filotas in 1927 following significant population changes from the Greek-Turkish exchange of 1923. This transformation reshaped the demographic composition of the region.
