National Park of Tzoumerka, Peristeri & Arachthos Gorge

The National Park of Tzoumerka spans 820 square kilometers across mountains, valleys, and forests, reaching elevations up to 2429 meters at Kakarditsa peak.

Established in 2009, the park incorporates traditional settlements that maintained agricultural practices and livestock farming through generations in the mountainous terrain.

The park features multiple entry points through mountain roads, with villages like Sirako and Kalrites serving as primary bases for accommodation and supplies.

The Arachthos River carves through the landscape, creating deep gorges and waterfalls like Katarraktis and Matsuki, which vary in intensity with seasonal changes.
