Bazas

Bazas is a French commune in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, set across rolling hills surrounded by vineyards. The town center features a large Gothic cathedral that anchors the medieval street pattern and local life.

The settlement served as the capital of the Vasates people in Roman times and later became a major episcopal center. This long religious history lasted until the period of the French Revolution.
