Port-Cros National Park, Marine national park in Hyères, France.

Port-Cros National Park spans 1700 hectares of land and 2900 hectares of marine area, containing small islets, capes, coves, and underwater meadows along the Mediterranean coast.

Established in 1963 as France's first marine park, Port-Cros features Roman ruins, military forts, and thirty shipwrecks that document centuries of maritime history.

The park maintains the National Mediterranean Botanical Conservatory of Porquerolles, dedicated to protecting wild flora and Mediterranean fruit varieties native to the region.

Visitors can explore 180 kilometers of coastal paths, fourteen interpretation trails, and nine underwater routes designed for observing marine life in their natural habitat.

The protected waters contain eight species of dolphins, diverse grouper populations, and extensive Posidonia seagrass meadows growing in deep submarine canyons.
