Alhambra, Music theatre in 10th arrondissement, France
The Alhambra theatre features a concrete and steel shell auditorium with a seating capacity of 600 people and standing room for 800 during concerts.
Initially constructed in 1933 as a theatre for railway workers, the building remained underutilized until its rediscovery in 2005 by producer Jean-Claude Auclair.
The venue presents diverse performances spanning genres from hip-hop and jazz to blues and world music, with artists such as Duke Ellington and Thelonious Monk.
Located 300 meters from the original Alhambra-Maurice Chevalier site, the theatre offers advance ticket reservations online, by phone, or at the box office.
The monumental staircase leading to the balcony stands as the sole remaining element of the original Art Deco architecture after the 2008 renovation.
