Château Nozet, Renaissance château in Pouilly-sur-Loire, France

The château features two rectangular residential wings forming an L-shape, with round towers at the north-east and south-east corners topped by slate roofs.

The land and manor of Nozet were given to the Benedictines of La Charité-sur-Loire in 1234, with the castle experiencing multiple reconstructions until 1651.

The Château du Nozet stands as the central estate of the Ladoucette family, who have maintained wine production traditions in the Loire Valley since the 18th century.

The wine boutique at Château Nozet welcomes visitors daily from May to October between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with a lunch break from noon to 1:00 PM.

During World War I, the château served as auxiliary hospital number 17 for the French Red Cross, providing care for wounded soldiers until 1918.
