Musée de l'Air

Musée de l'Air is an aviation museum located on the grounds of Paris-Le Bourget Airport, displaying a broad collection of aircraft and helicopters from different eras. The exhibits are housed in large hangars and outdoor spaces, showing how flight technology evolved from its origins to modern times.

The museum was established in 1919 after aeronautics engineer Albert Caquot proposed it, and opened to the public in 1921. The collection preserves aircraft that marked important moments in aviation's story, including machines from pioneering eras and later decades.

Two Concorde aircraft and a Boeing 747 can be explored from the inside, giving visitors a direct sense of how passengers traveled in these legendary machines. This experience highlights the differences between supersonic and traditional long-distance flight.
