Tour de l'Europe, High-rise building in Mulhouse, France

The Tour de l'Europe is a triangular high-rise in Mulhouse that rises approximately 100 meters with 36 floors. The building houses about 180 apartments served by five elevators across different zones.

Architect François Spoerry designed the building in 1969, and construction was completed in 1972. The official inauguration took place in 1973.

The three concave sides symbolize the meeting point of France, Germany, and Switzerland in the Mulhouse region. This concept shapes how locals and visitors perceive the building's role in the city.

The building is easily visible from the city center and located in a central area of Mulhouse. Access to the tower and its surroundings is straightforward for visitors without major obstacles.

The top floor once housed a rotating panoramic restaurant that completed a full turn every 75 minutes. Visitors could enjoy a slow sweep of city views, though the restaurant closed in 2014.

Although impressive and symbolic, this gray tower with 3 faces representing 3 countries (France, Germany, and Switzerland) seems to dominate the whole city. Not a fan!
