Parc du Marquenterre

Parc du Marquenterre is a protected natural area with dunes, forests, and marshes in the Somme region. The terrain contains several distinct habitats that together attract and support a wide variety of bird species.

The area became a protected zone for bird observation in 1973. It developed afterward into a major European site for ornithologists and remains an important resting point for migrating bird populations.
