Château de Quierzy, Medieval castle in Quierzy, France.

The castle stands on the north bank of the Oise River, featuring preserved facades and roofs from the 16th century reconstruction period.

The fortress changed ownership through several noble families, including Montmorency, Roye, Halluin, and Brûlart, until the French Revolution arrived.

The castle site replaced an earlier Carolingian palace where Pope Stephen II met Pepin the Short in 754 to establish religious reforms.

Visitors can explore the exterior architecture and remaining tower of the castle by accessing 23 Rue Louis Sequeval in Quierzy.

The castle grounds appeared in a 2015 France 2 television documentary about Charlemagne, revealing its connection to medieval French history.
