The L'Estaque station features a main building constructed between 1848 and 1851, with metal annexes added in Art Deco style during the late 1920s.
Initially built for freight transport, the station evolved into a passenger facility and received official recognition as a protected historic monument of France.
Located in the 16th arrondissement of Marseille at 54 meters elevation, this station serves the neighborhood that inspired numerous French painters in the 1880s.
The station accommodates four tracks with one central platform and two side platforms, serving approximately 134,120 passengers annually through regional express trains.
The station's position on a hill led to the distinction between L'Estaque-Gare at the top and L'Estaque-Plage in the lower section of the village.
