Cigoland

Cigoland is a theme park in Kintzheim that combines rides and attractions with a zoo section featuring white storks. The grounds are designed to let visitors see the birds in their nesting areas while enjoying entertainment.

The park was founded to protect white storks after they nearly died out in Alsace during the 1970s. The facility played a role in bringing the birds back to the region.

The circus performances here tell stories about storks and connect them to local Alsatian traditions that still matter to the region. Visitors experience this link between the white stork family and Alsace through the shows.

The park is open from March through November, with longer hours during summer months. Plan enough time to experience both the rides and the bird-watching areas throughout your visit.

Storks build their nests in unexpected places throughout the park, sometimes on rides and buildings, creating an unusual blend of nature and entertainment. These nests remain visible year-round and define much of the park's character.
