The Palais Fesch exhibits 350 paintings across four levels, featuring Italian masterpieces from various periods including Renaissance and Baroque collections.
Cardinal Joseph Fesch, Napoleon Bonaparte's uncle, established the museum in 1852 after collecting over 16,000 paintings throughout his lifetime.
The museum holds the second largest collection of Italian paintings in France, with works by Botticelli, Bellini, and Titian.
The museum includes a municipal library containing over 30,000 volumes and offers guided tours from May to October.
The Imperial Chapel contains the black marble tombs of Napoleon's mother Letizia Ramolino and Cardinal Fesch, decorated with grisaille paintings.
