Fesch Museum, Art museum in Ajaccio, France
The Fesch Museum occupies a neoclassical palace and displays over 400 works of art across 27 rooms on multiple levels of the building.
Cardinal Joseph Fesch, Napoleon Bonaparte's uncle, established the museum in the early 19th century and donated more than 1,000 artworks to the institution.
The museum holds one of France's largest collections of Italian paintings outside Paris, featuring works by Botticelli, Titian, and numerous Renaissance masters.
Visitors can explore the museum through guided tours, attend educational workshops, and access an audio guide featuring 28 selected pieces from the permanent collection.
The basement level contains a Napoleonic Collection, while the Chapelle Fesch houses the tombs of Napoleon's mother and Cardinal Fesch.
