Founded in the late 8th century at the intersection of two ancient roads, the abbey served as a stopping point for pilgrims on the Santiago de Compostela route.
The abbey houses an organ built in 1752 by Dom Bédos de Celles, along with marble altars and paintings from the Pénitents Blancs collection.
The abbey complex, located at 2 Plan du Cloître in Saint-Thibéry, includes protected monastic buildings and ground areas within the monastery walls.
The structure maintains its Maurist period arrangements from the 17th century, including interior fittings and a bell tower constructed between 1520 and 1530.
