Château Nairac

The property began as a vineyard in the 17th century and was purchased in 1777 by shipping merchant Elisée Nairac. He hired architect André Mollié to redesign the estate, creating the structure that stands today.

The estate produces sweet white wines that are central to the Sauternes tradition in this part of France. Visitors can experience how the vineyard maintains these winemaking practices that have defined the region for generations.

The estate is accessible by car and located in a wine region with clear roads and good signage. A daytime visit allows you to fully appreciate the architecture and see the vineyard terraces clearly.

During the renovation, specific architectural pieces from the 17th century were deliberately preserved within the redesigned structure. This blend of retained historical elements and updated sections tells the story of how the property evolved.
