Established in 1777, Château Nairac was purchased by shipping merchant Elisée Nairac, who commissioned architect André Mollié to transform the property.

The estate produces sweet white wines under the Sauternes appellation, maintaining its Second Cru Classé status from the 1855 Bordeaux classification.
