Château de Dortan, Historical castle in Dortan, France

The residence features two square towers, with the southern one dating from medieval times and the northern tower from the 15th-16th centuries.

The castle belonged to the Dortan family for over 530 years, with records of their ownership dating back to 1180 through their feudal ties.

During the 18th century, the castle hosted theatrical performances of Voltaire's plays when owned by Monsieur d'Uffelle, an associate of the playwright.

The park surrounding the castle remains open to visitors, offering opportunities to explore the grounds and gardens without time restrictions.

The castle grounds contain a vauclusian spring known as the blue source, which extends to a depth of 1,030 meters underground.
