Oliferne

Oliferne is a mountain summit in the Petite Montagne du Jura region that rises about 800 meters and sits above the Ain Valley. From the top, visitors can see across the surrounding highland ranges that form the backbone of the Jura massif.

A fortification was constructed on these slopes in the 13th century to control the region's territorial disputes. The structure was destroyed during military conflicts and left only archaeological remains behind.
