Église Saint-Hymetière

The church stands at 440 meters altitude near the Valouse valley, surrounded by mountains reaching heights between 600 and 800 meters.

Archaeological excavations in 1986 and 2010 uncovered thirty burial sites dating from the 6th century through the Medieval period around the church grounds.

The church contains the relics of Saint Hymeretius, transferred to a shrine near the main altar following the opening of his tomb in 1653.

The religious monument received official historical classification status in 1913, ensuring its preservation and maintenance for future generations.

The 11th-century structure underwent reconstruction in 1634, integrating new elements while preserving original architectural features from the initial building period.
