Château de Cornod, Historical castle in Cornod, France
The Renaissance castle stands with Gothic Revival elements, featuring a substantial main building spread across three floors containing seventy rooms and twenty-four bedrooms.
The original fortress dates from 1301, while the current structure underwent extensive modifications during the nineteenth century by architects Henri Feuga and Henri Despierre.
The French Ministry of Culture recognized the architectural significance of Château de Cornod in 1971 by designating it as a historical monument.
The castle estate encompasses 132 hectares of land, including gardens, stables with eight horse boxes, and multiple recreational facilities for visitors.
The property contains stone canals, waterfalls, and ponds integrated into twenty hectares of French-style gardens surrounded by mountains and vineyards.
