Château de Jussy

The castle exhibits a distinctive H-shaped layout constructed with brick and stone, encompassed by water-filled moats fed by the Craon river.

Between 1590 and 1650, the Gamaches family commissioned the construction of the castle, which remained in their possession until Pierre Philippe Labbe de Chamgrand acquired it in 1759.

The castle houses a collection of garments from the 17th to 19th centuries, including original pieces that belonged to the ancestors of current residents.

Visitors can explore the grounds from May through September, with admission fees of 6 euros for adults and 3 euros for children under twelve years old.

The romantic park, designed by Count de Choulot between 1830 and 1850, features curved pathways, ornamental lawns, and a grand canal lined with century-old trees.
