Château de Thuillières, Castle in Thuillières, France

The rectangular castle features a central triangular pediment on its façade, which opens toward both the courtyard and the village of Thuillières.

Originally built by Simon de Thuillières in 1328, architect Germain Boffrand acquired and reconstructed the castle between 1722 and 1725 for 10,000 livres.

The castle houses a museum dedicated to actress Ève Lavallière, displaying artifacts and information about her theatrical career and religious conversion.

The castle welcomes visitors from July 15th to August 31st daily between 2:30 PM and 5:30 PM, with entry fees of 5 euros for adults.

The castle contains a remarkable 18th-century dovecot built within a 14th-century tower, featuring 700 nesting niches and a rotating internal staircase.
