Château des Perrays, Classical castle in Parigné-le-Pôlin, France.
Château des Perrays is a castle with three distinct building phases in Parigné-le-Pôlin. The east wing dates from the 17th century, stands beside a medieval tower, and connects to the main building in classical style.
The de Broc family acquired the castle in 1450 through marriage and began extensive construction work. The east wing was built around 1630 and shaped the property from then on.
The rooms inside feature classical French decoration with fine details in the staircase, dining room, and library. These interiors show the taste and lifestyle of the noble families who lived here across centuries.
Visitors can explore the exterior architecture and select interior rooms while respecting private areas. The best time to visit depends on the weather, as many details of the facade and layout are visible from outside.
During World War I the castle served as a hospital in its outbuildings. After World War II the US Army used it from 1944 to 1945 as a training center for mine clearance.
