The construction of Château du Chassan started in the 16th century and continued until the 18th century, with archives dating back to 1335.
The castle exhibits collections of tapestries, family portraits, ancient costumes, and tools that represent the rural life of past centuries.
The castle opens daily from July 6th to August 31st between 2 PM and 6:30 PM, with additional visits available by appointment from May to October.
The castle contains an exhibition of fossils, minerals, and gems, along with a collection dedicated to the work of French military engineer Vauban.
