Château of Bachasse, Heritage château in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon, France.

The Château de la Bachasse sits on a hillside overlooking the Yzeron river, with square pavilions positioned at each corner and a rectangular main building forming its core. The structure comprises a ground floor, main floor, and attic level with dormer windows, all accessed via a grand southern staircase.

The current structure was built between 1880 and 1890 by architects Turbet and Tissot, replacing an older farm that occupied the site. This era shaped both its design and strategic position on the hillside.

The château serves as a venue for social events and corporate gatherings, having become a preferred location for such occasions. Its parkland setting provides a fitting backdrop for these functions.

The grounds span about 8 hectares with partially wooded parkland that visitors can explore during their visit. Access is provided via the broad southern staircase, which is straightforward to navigate.

The roof design combines slate covering with a mansard style on the main building in an distinctive way. The four corner pavilions display steeper roof slopes with notably different architectural details compared to the main structure.
