Château de la Cour des Prés

The Château de la Cour des Prés features a main facade with two circular towers incorporated into living spaces, containing a salon in the south and a chapel in the north.

In 1546, Louis Martin, provost of Rumigny, built this fortified residence under King Francis I's direction to protect the region from Netherlands incursions.

The castle rooms preserve fireplaces adorned with coats of arms from 1546, displaying King Francis I's emblems and a four-petaled flower of the Master of Forges.

Visitors can explore the castle between July and August from 3 PM to 7 PM, except Tuesdays, and on Sundays and holidays from April through October.

The Aube stream supplies water to the castle moats, creating an L-shaped architectural ensemble around an inner courtyard that opens onto gardens.
