Église Notre-Dame-des-Anges de L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue

Église Notre-Dame-des-Anges is a parish church with a single nave and side chapels, its facade decorated with Doric and Ionic columns. The interior contains a large baroque altarpiece and several wall paintings distributed throughout the building.

Construction began in 1645 under architect François de Royers de la Valfenière, replacing a Romanesque structure that previously occupied the site. The building was consecrated in 1672, and its interior was enriched with artworks over the following decades.

The church displays rich gilded wooden carvings on its main altar that have been maintained by the local community over centuries. This ornamentation reflects the spiritual importance the building held for residents of the town.
