Centre François Mauriac de Malagar

The Centre François Mauriac de Malagar is an estate with an 18th-century building surrounded by cypress trees, gardens, and vineyards on a hilltop in the Gironde. The property blends historical architecture with modern facilities for visitors.

The family acquired the former monastery property in 1843 and used it as a family home. The writer inherited it in 1927 and transformed it into his personal retreat for writing.
