Golf d'Aix-les-Bains, Historic golf course near Lake Bourget, France.
Golf d'Aix-les-Bains is an 18-hole course measuring approximately 5,400 meters (17,700 feet) with par 70, situated between Lake Bourget and the Alpine foothills. The layout spreads across roughly 45 hectares and guides players through varied terrain shaped by the surrounding landscape.
English residents established the course in 1904 on the site of a former horse racing track, bringing the sport to this Alpine region. This founding by the expatriate community marked the beginning of organized golf in the area.
The club hosts regular competitions including the Grand Prix d'Aix-les-Bains, which draws experienced players from the surrounding area each year. These tournaments are woven into local sporting life and show how the course anchors the golfing community.
The course has 22 practice stations, two putting greens, and a pitching area where players can warm up before their round. These facilities are easily accessible from the main clubhouse area.
The course earned the Bronze Biodiversity Label in 2022 and uses electric mowing robots to cut emissions. This commitment shows how the club integrates environmental care into daily operations.
