Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme, Palace hotel near Place Vendôme, France

Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme occupies two adjoining buildings at 3 and 5 rue de la Paix, built in 1854 by the architects Ménard and Rouyer. The six-storey stone facade, listed as a monument, has tall windows with black iron railings and small dark awnings, green planters below the upper windows, and a central arched entrance under a lit sign. The interior was designed by American architect Ed Tuttle, with works by Roseline Granet, Sam Gilliam, Ed Paschke and Irmgard Sigg on permanent display.

The hotel occupies two adjoining buildings at 3 and 5 rue de la Paix, built in 1854 by the architects Menard and Rouyer. In 1891 the couture house Paquin was founded there, run by Isidore-René Jacob and his wife Jeanne, who led it alone after his death in 1907 until the 1920s. Paquin closed in 1956 and the Comptoir des Entrepreneurs moved in; Bouygues Immobilier began the hotel conversion in 1996 under architect Ed Tuttle, and the hotel opened in 2002. Hyatt bought the building in 2006.

The hotel occupies the former Paquin couture house, founded here in 1891 by Isidore-René Jacob and his wife Jeanne Paquin, who ran it alone after 1907. The café Jeanne, opened in 2021, is named after her. Works by Ed Paschke, Roseline Granet, Irmgard Sigg and Sam Gilliam are displayed permanently in the public spaces.

The hotel occupies two adjoining buildings, Nos. 3 and 5 rue de la Paix, the street linking Place Vendôme to Place de l'Opéra. The IWC Schaffhausen and Officine Panerai watch shops on the ground floor have their own entrances from the street. Opéra Garnier, the Madeleine, Place de la Concorde, the Tuileries and the Palais-Royal are all within walking distance.
