Hôtel de Mondragon, 18th-century private mansion in rue d'Antin, Paris, France

Hôtel de Mondragon is an 18th-century private mansion located on rue d'Antin in Paris with refined architecture and a grand entrance doorway. The interior spaces are decorated with ornamental woodwork and painted panels that reflect the quality of the original furnishings.

The building was constructed between 1715 and 1723 for Pierre Etienne Bourgeois de Boynes, a treasurer of the Royal Bank. It later served as the town hall of the 2nd district before being officially registered as a historical monument in 1926.

The reception rooms display white and gold wooden decorations with painted panels by Noël Coypel and Sébastien II Le Clerc on the walls. These artworks shaped the character of the interior spaces and reflect the artistic taste that wealthy owners favored in the 18th century.

The building is registered as a historical monument and currently houses the headquarters of BNP Paribas. It is not open to the general public, but the facade and entrance portal can be admired from the street on rue d'Antin.

Napoleon Bonaparte and Josephine de Beauharnais celebrated their wedding ceremony in this building on March 9, 1796. This significant event made the location an important chapter in French history during the Revolutionary period.
