Hôtel de l'Europe, Private mansion in 2nd arrondissement of Lyon, France.
The Hôtel de l'Europe stands at 1 rue Colonel-Chambonnet and 13 place Antonin-Gourju, featuring architectural elements from the 17th and 18th centuries.
Built in the 17th century on the former customs house site, the building transformed from a private residence into a travelers' hotel around 1800.
Lyonnais painter Daniel Sarrabat created interior decorations in the early 18th century, including the salon of Minerva and salon of Hercules.
The building currently houses auxiliary services of the Lyon court of first instance and maintains restricted access to certain areas of the property.
The structure contains preserved Louis XIV-style interior elements, including decorated salons and a coffered ceiling room on the second floor.
