Lac de Chamboux

Lac de Chamboux is a reservoir in Saint-Martin-de-la-Mer surrounded by wooded hillsides of the Morvan area. The body of water extends across the landscape, creating a wide surface that reflects the forested slopes and rocky outcrops nearby.

The reservoir was created through the construction of a dam to provide water supply to surrounding communities. This engineering project also established the area as a place for recreation and leisure in the Burgundy region.
