The Jardin du Ranelagh spans 6.5 hectares with numerous walkways, statues, and green spaces featuring century-old chestnut trees and beech trees.
Engineer Adolphe Alphand designed the garden in 1860 during the Haussmann period, transforming it into a public space following English garden principles.
The garden includes a historic puppet theater operating from March to November, entertaining children with traditional performances since the nineteenth century.
Visitors can access the garden through multiple entrances near La Muette and Ranelagh metro stations on line 9, with the space remaining open all day.
The garden preserves an old railway line called 'la petite ceinture' that now functions as a natural corridor supporting local wildlife populations.
