Le Spot, Entertainment and sports complex in Mâcon, France.
Le Spot is an event complex in Mâcon with multiple flexible spaces designed to accommodate various types of gatherings. The layout allows for quick adaptations between different activities, making it suitable for concerts, sports events, and business functions.
The center opened in 2012 and introduced a new entertainment venue to the Mâcon region. This facility changed how large events and performances could be organized in the area.
The venue's name was chosen by Mâcon residents through a public consultation. It hosts the 1,2,3 Mâcon fair, where visitors can try sports and cultural activities and sign up on site. Sold-out concerts have included Maître Gims and Soprano.
Le Spot has fixed stands on the south side, supplemented by mobile stands; on the north side only mobile stands are used, and these are not deployed during concerts because of the stage. Capacity reaches 5,000 places, so the number of seats varies with each event.
The venue's name was chosen by Mâcon residents through a public consultation, not by its operators. Its construction cost 15,548,000 euros including tax, replacing the former Hall C of the Parc des Expositions. The first event, on 1 April 2012, was the show "La fabuleuse tournée de Mickey"; M. Pokora gave the first concert that same year.
