Musée de l'Automobile de Valençay, Car museum in Valençay, France
The Musée de l'Automobile de Valençay is a car museum in the town of Valençay, in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. The collection brings together around 60 road-worthy vehicles, ranging from models built before 1910 to more recent cars, alongside motorcycles, bicycles, and old garage objects.
The museum was founded by the Guignard family, who gathered vehicles from different periods over time. The collection grew steadily and reflects how car design and technology changed across more than a century.
The museum was built up by the Guignard family, who wanted to share their passion for cars with visitors. Today, you can explore around 60 vehicles using the Wivisite mobile app, which adds context to each car on display.
The museum holds the Tourisme & Handicap label, meaning it is accessible to all visitors. Parking is available on site, and the entrance is on the Avenue de la Résistance.
The collection includes an old fire truck and other utility vehicles that you rarely find in a typical car museum. Visitors can also take a souvenir photo on board a vintage vehicle, which makes the stop a bit more hands-on for families.
