The museum occupies 800 square meters of exhibition space within the Grande Arche building at La Défense business district near Paris.
The museum opened in April 2008 as France's first computing museum, initiated by technology journalist Philippe Nieuwbourg, but closed in April 2010.
The institution collected and displayed over 200 computing and electronic artifacts, documenting the progression of information technology through the decades.
The museum received 250,000 visitors annually before its closure due to technical problems with the building's elevators.
The collection included the Osborne 1, recognized as the first portable computer, along with early calculators and vintage microcomputers.
